Getting set up
- Do my guests need to download an app?
- No. A guest page is a web page — guests open a link or scan a QR code and it works in whatever browser they already have. There's no account to create on their side either.
- Does Hostbnb connect to Airbnb or Booking.com?
- Hostbnb doesn't take over your listing or your calendar. It's the layer guests use during the stay, so it works the same whether you list on Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, several at once, or direct.
- How long does setup actually take?
- About twenty minutes for a usable page and an hour for a genuinely good one. The guide is the part that takes the time; everything else is a few fields.
Your guest page
- Can I hide the door code until check-in?
- Yes. Access details are held behind the arrival section rather than sitting on the public page, so a link that gets forwarded doesn't hand out your entry code.
- Can I upload the house manual I already have?
- Yes — upload it as a file and the assistant can answer from it. It's still worth moving the top five things into the guide itself, because guests read a page and skip a PDF.
The AI concierge
- What happens if the assistant doesn't know something?
- It says so rather than guessing, and points the guest at contacting you. That's a deliberate trade — a confident wrong answer about a gas hob is worse than no answer.
- Which languages are supported?
- Over thirty, chosen by the guest. You write the guide in one language; the page and the answers arrive in theirs.
- Can I see what guests asked?
- Yes. Conversations in the dashboard shows every exchange, which is the fastest way to find out what your guide is missing.
Earning
- Does earning cost extra?
- No. Partner marketplace access is included on every plan, including the free pilot. There's no add-on and no listing fee — Hostbnb earns only when you do.
- Do guests know a recommendation pays a commission?
- Always. Partner offers are labelled as partner offers and sponsored placements as sponsored, in the guest's own language, and they sit below your personal picks rather than mixed in with them.
- When do commissions get paid?
- A commission confirms once your guest has completed the service and the provider's refund window closes — usually seven days. Confirmed earnings pay out monthly, or credit against your invoice.
Plans & account
- Is the free plan really free?
- Yes, and it doesn't need a card. It covers up to five properties with a monthly answer allowance; the only visible difference is a small Hostbnb mark on the guest page.
- What happens to my pages if I cancel?
- They stay live through the period you've paid for and then fall back to the free pilot limits. Nothing is deleted because a card expired.
- Can a co-host or cleaner help maintain a page?
- Property details are edited from your account today. If you manage a portfolio with a team, get in touch — that's what the manager and enterprise tiers are shaped around.
