The AI concierge

How the assistant decides what to answer — and how to fix a bad answer

The concierge answers from your guide, not the open web. Here's how to test it, what it does when it doesn't know, and how to correct it.

The assistant is deliberately narrow. It answers from what you've written — your guide, your FAQ, your recommendations, your uploaded files — rather than from general knowledge about your city. That's what makes it safe to hand to a guest.

What it will and won't do

Pros

  • Answers check-in, Wi-Fi, appliance and house-rule questions from your guide
  • Suggests your recommendations when a guest asks for somewhere to go
  • Replies in the guest's language, whatever you wrote it in

Cons

  • Won't invent a door code you never entered
  • Won't quote prices or hours you haven't given it
  • Won't answer questions unrelated to the stay

Test it before guests do

The property editor has a test panel. Ask it the five questions you get most — "what time is check-in", "is there parking", "how does the aircon work" — and read the answers as if you'd never seen the property.

When it says it doesn't know

That's the intended behaviour for a gap, not a failure. It's also a to-do list: every "I don't have that detail" is a sentence missing from your guide. Add it and ask again.

Conversations are your signal

The Conversations view in the dashboard shows what guests actually asked. The questions that came up twice are the ones worth writing into the guide.

Fixing a wrong answer

  1. 1Find the source: search your guide and FAQ for the wrong detail.
  2. 2Correct it there — the assistant reads the current text, so there's nothing to retrain.
  3. 3Re-run the same question in the test panel to confirm.
