An easy approach, an ideal location to learn rappelling, and amazing scenery all make this trip the perfect choice for your first canyoning trip. Heart Creek Canyon is also our closest trip to the townsites of Banff & Canmore (10 minute drive from Canmore, 30 min drive from Banff). Upper Heart Canyon provides a perfect location to learn and develop your rope rappelling skills. Introductory short rappels allow you to ease into rappelling and increase in length as you progress down the canyon, finally culminating with an exciting 70-80ft+ wet waterfall rappel and slide (optional: it is possible to hike around the lower falls).
