Alfama, Lisbon, Portugal
A 24-room boutique aparthotel woven into a restored building in the heart of Alfama, Lisbon's oldest quarter. Tiled hallways, a rooftop breakfast terrace over the Tagus, and fado drifting up the cobbled lanes at night. One shared concierge, every room's questions answered.
Ask about check-in, the best beach nearby, or where past guests loved to eat — the concierge knows this home and the host's recommendations, and replies in your language.
Wi-Fi and check-in details are protected. Enter the check-in code from your host (it's in your booking message) to unlock them.

Room 3B had the best window
5Ask for a higher floor if you can — the tram rumbling past below and the castle lit up at night made the whole stay. Front desk was super helpful with tram cards too.

Rooftop breakfast, then get lost
5Start on the terrace with a coffee and the river view, then just wander the lanes with no plan. We stumbled on tiny squares and the best pastéis de nata by accident.

A Baiuca blew us away
5The front desk booked us the early seating. Half the room ended up singing — including our waiter. Order the octopus and just soak it in. Unforgettable.
